The Specialized Container Terminal met at the conference of the International Association of Ports (IAPH) 2018, held in May in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan.
The event was attended by more than 500 port authorities, as well as shipping lines and main directors of the international shipping companies, who were informed about the potential of the Specialized Container Terminal of Venezuela.

In November, the Specialized Container Terminal made a presence as a spectator at the twenty- sixth conference of the Latin American Ports Congress AAPA, held in the city of Punta del Este, Uruguay.
With the assistance of more than 350 participants from more than 30 countries and 4 continents in Punta del Este, Uruguay. “The Latin American ports in the debate between globalization and protectionism” served as the focus of the summit.
In December, the Strategic Alliance of Bolipuertos and Teixeira Duarte attended the CHINA-LAC Business Summit held in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Together with a commission from the Bolivarian Government, represented by the Foreign Trade Bank (BANCOEX) and its “Venezuela Exporta” program, the new Specialized Terminal was exposed to all the participants.
In this international event, the Alliance presented in front of the port community, the new terminal as a vanguard port and qualified to receive ships from anywhere in the world.
In the quest to strengthen international commercial ties and strengthen the trust and security offered by the Specialized Container Terminal, the Strategic Alliance, Bolipuertos-Teixeira Duarte, together with the Vice Minister of Transportation for the aquatic sector and the National Institute of Aquatic and Air Spaces (INEA), was present in the month of March 2018 in the city of London, England.
The objective was framed in the participation of meetings with the companies Lloyd’s and P&I Clubs in order to improve the risk classification of Venezuela.
