The “Puerto Escuela Project” is an initiative of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, citizen Nicolás Maduro Moros. It is based on guiding workers towards professional growth, providing the tools available so that they can fully develop their potential and thus obtain the best results in all the work carried out within the framework of port management. Valuing and recognizing people, encouraging the sense of professional pride and the sense of belonging.
Within the framework of the « Strategic Alliance for Port Management and Operation of the Specialized Terminal of Containers of the Port of La Guaira», formed by the Bolivarian Company of Ports in association with Teixeira Duarte Engenharia e Construçoes SA, it was inaugurated in February 2018 the “Project Puerto Escuela”. An initiative by President Nicolás Maduro to boost the progress and modernization of all ports nationwide.
The project includes the implementation of Workshops and Training for terminal workers and intends to expand in the future to other levels to benefit more students with the vision of creating international alliances that favor the exchange of knowledge.
Operators are an essential piece in the progress of port activities, our goal is to promote the expansion of knowledge by providing specialized training so that workers have the best tools to perform their work optimally and efficiently.
A number of 160 workers have been trained successfully.
